A PASSIVE HEAD OFFICE, BREEAM EXCELLENT CERTIFIED

BNP Paribas, Brussels

This 95.000 m² office building includes the implementation of a Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage system. This system is based on the seasonal storage capacity of the energy emitted by the heat pumps. We were responsible for the design of the technical installations and the monitoring: HVAC, electricity, lifting equipment, sanitary facilities, EPB reporting.

OUR ZERO-EMISSIONS OFFICE

Sweco office, Zelzate

Using ground-breaking new technology, we transformed our office into a flagship zero-emissions building. First of all, we installed a large number of meters, so we can better monitor our energy consumption. We covered the roof with PV-panels. And wherever possible, green roofs were used to collect rainwater (80 m³). Furthermore, we replaced the old gas boilers by a full electric heating system. Two geothermal heat pumps, connected with a 276kW dry cooler and a Borehole Thermal Energy Storage field provide green heating.

Gare Maritime, Brussels

Gare Maritime is a total renovation and reorientation of a one hundred year old freight station. Its limited ecological footprint has been achieved by making intelligent choices in the field of energy production, cooling, water consumption, use of materials, etc. We paid special attention to a wide range of sustainability aspects by using simulation software. To reduce the final electricity demand consumed, we installed no more than 10.000 photovoltaic panels.
