“Vitech is known as an innovative engineering firm. The engineers involved will therefore quickly feel at home within Sweco’s stimulating knowledge organisation. We invest heavily in Learning & Development, which enables us to be and remain the frontrunner in the field of technological innovation and multidisciplinary solutions. With our joined forces, we will be in a position to design high-performance installations that contribute to a sustainable, safe and energy-friendly living and working environment,” says Erwin Malcorps, Managing Director of Sweco Belgium.
Tom Van Den Noortgaete, Division Director of Energy & Environment at Sweco Belgium: “The arrival of Vitech is a perfect match with our DNA and our way of working. This is because we offer a comprehensive range of high-quality and innovative consulting and engineering services for the entire energy chain: from (renewable) energy production, through transport and distribution, to the final energy consumers. Together, we will be able to make the further electrification of our society even better.”
Electricity and its applications are becoming increasingly important in everyday life. The Vitech engineering firm, founded in 1998 by Ir. Bert Van Itterbeeck, has made a conscious decision to make the correct design of electrical installations their core business. Vitech is therefore quite unique in the market of engineering firms.
Bert Van Itterbeeck, business manager at Vitech: “The energy transition that we find ourselves in at the moment forces us all to think about all kinds of aspects, such as solar panels, recharging systems (e.g. batteries), charging systems for e.g. electric vehicles, load balancing, energy savings and optimisations, smart grids, etc. Often, company managers come to us with good ideas, but they don’t know exactly how they can implement them in their companies. Vitech can relieve the burden and work with the client to find the best solution.”
