Oosterweel project wins gold at BIM Awards

6 December 2019
The Oosterweel project has won the highly acclaimed BIM Award in the category of infrastructure projects. This is a collective performance of the client Lantis, together wit Sweco, our partner Witteveen+Bos, and Geonius and Bimplan.

The BIM Awards of the professional magazine Bouwkroniek reward the best BIM projects in the Benelux. The close-knit team behind the Oosterweel project therefore strongly believes in the BIM story. It strengthens the dialogue and the exchange of knowledge between all parties. Moreover, it is the tool par excellence for the underlying processes and presents the building data in a good visual way. By streamlining these matters, the entire chain works more efficiently, more sustainably and with lower failure costs. And with the specific BIM dashboard, all employees consult the 3D model in real time.

About the project
The complete study of the closure of the Antwerp Ring Road is an assignment for Sweco and Witteveen+Bos. We are responsible for the design of the infrastructure works on the left bank and the Scheldt tunnel, as well as for the design of the Oosterweel connection on the right bank. Lantis is the client.
