With Building Information Management, in short BIM, all design and construction information is linked to a central 3D-model.

Throughout the entire life span, all parties involved make use of the joint database: during the initiative phase, the design phase and the operational phase. This collective approach to the construction project results in lower transaction costs, reduced failure costs, a better estimate of the costs and testing of the requirements that are placed on the building. The traceability of design decisions is also a major plus point. In short, a win-win situation for all parties.
