Transport by rail is an environmentally friendly alternative. Owing to the extension and adaptation of the railway, metro and tram networks, transport by rail is becoming more attractive.
Not surprisingly, the number of passengers is also increasing every year. This puts a lot of pressure on the existing infrastructure and its maintenance. Sweco is contributing to the modernization and expansion of the railway infrastructure. We work on both classical railway infrastructures and the urban metro and tram network as well as on innovative express tram lines and the automation of the metro.
