The Van Cauwelaert Bridge, located at the Van Cauwelaert Lock in a tidal area, regularly shows cracks that are periodically repaired to keep the bridge operational. These cracks are the result of material fatigue, a common problem with Strauss-type bascule bridges. Therefore, it is crucial to build a new bridge that is not only safe but also efficiently supports traffic flow in the port.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

From Site Study to BIM Model<\/h2>\n

Our assignment includes the research and optimized design for the new bridge. This process begins with a site study and determining the type of bridge, followed by a preliminary and final design.<\/p>\n

Fixed approach bridges and all necessary ancillary structures and accessories are also integrated into the design. We also study the conceptual design of the electromechanics, load distribution, concrete bridges and foundations, as well as geotechnics and BIM<\/a> modeling.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
