DS Engineering is a leading company in structural engineering that is known for having an excellent reputation in the Belgian construction industry. By joining forces, we are reinforcing our position in the fast-growing market of integrated construction projects, and we remain at the forefront of the industry.

Erwin Malcorps, Business Area President of Sweco Belgium, explains: ‘I am very pleased to welcome DS Engineering’s structural engineers and draughtsmen to our organisation. They will reinforce our one-stop shop for complex integrated construction projects, which is in increasing demand with our clients. This is how we shape our Transforming Society Together mission together. With this commitment, we also want to inspire young, newly graduated engineers and educate them with our deep expertise in sustainable construction techniques.’

DS Engineering is an engineering firm that focusses on structural engineering for buildings. It was founded in 1990 and focuses on stability, BIM and Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) studies, as well as sustainable renovations. The nine experienced experts work from the Antwerp office on qualitative stability studies for offices, homes, schools and industrial buildings.

Michaël De Smet, CEO of DS Engineering, attests: ‘At DS Engineering, we look beyond today. That is also why we opted for Sweco. We want to give our people a solid foundation to expand their knowledge and to grow personally. Moreover, our way of working fits perfectly with Sweco’s. From a multidisciplinary organisation, we are now joining hands to study and design future-proof circular buildings.’
