We are becoming increasingly aware of exactly how essential soil is for us. Due to high population density and the fragmentation of the public space, families, businesses, governments, farmers are all competing for space in a limited number of square kilometres, compromising our ecosystem services and biodiversity as a result. At the same time, cities need to allocate enough space for clean and permeable soil to combat heat islands and maintain liveability. Unpaved surfaces allow rainwater to infiltrate and replenish our groundwater reserves, forming a vital savings account for the water that is so indispensable to our lives.
As recognised soil remediation experts (type II) and environmental specialists, we collaborate on the sustainable use, conservation and restoration of soils in conformity with the various legal decrees that apply in Belgium. We assist companies, developers and local authorities with soil surveys, soil remediation and earthmoving studies. As our client, you can expect clear advice, a pragmatic approach and transparent communication. We can clear up any uncertainties you may have about the subsurface so that you can forge ahead with your project with full peace of mind.
We use diverse methods to chart soil contamination, including fieldwork and sampling, advanced analyses, innovative fingerprinting, and data management. Our services range from exploratory and descriptive soil testing to risk assessment and soil remediation project to give you the insights you need to make decisions.
In-site and/or on-site solutions will remediate your contaminated soil and revalue it for area development (greenfield and brownfield). We can help you to operationalise the remediation strategy throughout the tendering process and follow-up of the remediation works. We are especially in our element when dealing with complex contaminants.
We have in-depth knowledge on earthmoving, PFAS and other contaminants, gained during long years of experience with major infrastructure projects such as the Oosterweel link.
We use our wide-ranging expertise across disciplines to connect nature, industry, agriculture and urban development. There is no need for the interests of forestry, farmers, neighbours, governments and industrial companies to clash. We foster connection by engaging in long-term partnerships and developing sustainable solutions where economic growth and ecological recovery go hand-in-hand. Together, we build healthy soil, thriving biodiversity and a clean living environment that benefits everyone.
