To embed the district’s ambitions in the future delivery of the site, the project is pursuing HQE Aménagement certification. This process recognises a holistic approach to sustainability within a collaborative process. We are proud to help drive this certification approach: a first for Belgium.

We want to create a place where residents are actively involved in their neighbourhood and where nature is valued.

‘Le Grenier de Bellevue’ represents an innovative approach to urban development, in which active mobility, shared spaces, social interaction and urban agriculture play a central role. The project is an inspiring example of urban resilience. Through this shared commitment to sustainable transformation, Grenier de Bellevue provides a tangible response to today’s ecological and social transition challenges. By transforming consumption habits relating to mobility, food and energy, the project team aims to bring about lasting change for future generations, while remaining true to its founding values: people, the environment and living together.
The project focuses on three key objectives:
Regenerating living systems
By enhancing nature and inviting residents to play an active role in their neighbourhood, Grenier de Bellevue is committed to providing children and families with an environment in which they can thrive. Market gardening, green spaces and biodiversity preservation initiatives will be at the heart of this approach.
Creating a citizen-led alternative
New residents and the inhabitants of Jambes will come together around shared projects, strengthening social connections and food self-sufficiency. This initiative aims to foster a sense of belonging and encourage active citizen participation throughout the development and management of the district.
Building a resilient neighbourhood
Grenier de Bellevue aims to be a model of energy efficiency, without reliance on fossil fuels. Through adaptable and inclusive homes, as well as innovative solutions for access to home ownership, the district will meet the diverse needs of Namur’s families while safeguarding the environment.

We are striving for lasting change that addresses both the ecological and social challenges of our time.
