Sweco puts words into action with EcoVadis Gold certificate for CSR performance

As an architecture and engineering consultancy with a strong sense of responsibility, Sweco has its sustainability performance independently assessed—covering the environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Through these efforts, and by supporting companies on their own CSRD journey, we practise what we preach and demonstrate that our commitment extends to our own operations.

With this Gold certification, EcoVadis places Sweco among the top 2% of companies in the architecture & engineering, technical testing, and analysis sector, providing independent recognition of our achievements in sustainability. Thanks to well-documented procedures and a proven track record, Sweco has further improved its score.

EcoVadis is an international sustainability rating platform that assesses companies on their performance in environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. With over 150,000 companies evaluated globally, EcoVadis provides a common platform, universal scorecards, benchmarks, and tools for performance improvement.

Sweco walks the talk. Sustainable business operations are our top priority. With this mindset and experience, we support our clients throughout their CSRD journey, from strategic advice right through to implementation.

Johan Van Reeth, Chief Sustainability Officer

We walk the talk

Sweco is committed to maximising the sustainability of its own operations across four key areas:

  • Energy-efficient and future-oriented offices
  • Sustainable procurement of services and products
  • Conscious choices in our daily operations
  • Smart, low-emission mobility solutions

    Did you know?
Sweco is a pioneer in introducing and implementing the mobility budget. This year, it became mandatory for companies offering a company car, but Sweco was already offering this option in 2023. We account for more than 3% of the market, compared to just 2.5% of employers offering the mobility budget last year.

Want to know more about your sustainability rating?

Europe has tightened its energy objectives in the wake of the 2022 energy crisis and ongoing geopolitical developments in Russia and the Middle East. Sweco can support you every step of the way—from strategic advice, feasibility studies and analyses, to detailed design, project management, and construction supervision.
